S2K vs. Solstice, what do you think?
The sema edition looks cool. It had a turbo ecotech with 300 hp, 313 tq. I think you can only get 170 from the factory though and an s2k would own it on the curves too. I definatly would never buy one.

this is completely off topic...not like it matters, but fknfast...wat the hell do you do that lets you own such a large amount of decently priced vehicles? haha. sry if that was rude..but im extremely curious.

Come on now buddy? Is this a real question? An S2 will hand it to a soltice in every way possible! All I can say is factory 9k rpm!
the Solstice GXP is turbocharged, with 260hp/260lbft of torque. I'd definitely still take an S2000 over it though. I didn't drive the GXP, but my old boss had a regular Solstice, and it was an incredibly boring, cushy car to drive. Not like a roadster should be at all.

oh god, you know they have like a turbo and a big **** block version of the solstice?
factory 9 k is nothing, litre per horsepower is nothing when the other guy is actually faster.
i think it's a great car(coming from GM design) for the money, i would not get the base motor version just because there's a turbo'ed version. plus they have a long **** warranty on that thing, 260 ponies with warranty might be a good combo for along of people.
but one thing for sure, the suspension and gear box on the s is 20 times better than GM.

it's sad but true, maybe you's get less offensive answers( if that's how you feel) if you posted this in the off topic section, but most poeple who post in this section own s2000's so if your looking for a --close one-- you prob wont find it here. that's not to say the s2000 is the ultimate roadster dont get me wrong.
and my opinion, the solstice is not as attractive as an s. i stand by saying more people would agree. the since the solstice is american it would depreciate in value faster than an s.

Stock, and if you plan on staying that way, s2k easy. However if you plan on modding, no contest the the factory turbo product will give you more per dollar. As far as the capabilities of each, they both exceed what is safe on the streets and are more car than most drivers' skill. Hell, GXP guys are getting 20+ whp with turbo back 3" exhausts (no cat). s2ks will never see that kind of gain without either a bottle or big money for FI. With BPU, the GXPs will have the s2ks beat in a straight line and for the handling, I've yet to see many GXPs on the autocross. Time will tell, however their torque curve looks delicious for a turbo car.
They have the CTS rear and though it isn't bullet proof (the cts-v guys have reported rear end probs) it's much more mod friendly than our s2k ones. So that's another mark for the GM product.
And lets not forget, GM does know how to make a turbo vehicle ala Grand National.
If the GXP was available when I picked up my s2k would I have chosen that instead? Possibly, however I don't plan on modding my S anytime soon (that's what the teggy is for) so I'd prolly stay honda. If I didn't have a turbo car already, and I wanted one. GXP or sky redline. The powerplant should be able to put 350+ whp without much drama.
