brakes
Ive been noticing some grinding sounds coming from my front right tire. And a friend of mine realized that my caliper is rubbing up against my rotor when hitting bumps and making left turns. I want to replace my front breaks and rotors, I also want to change my drum brakes in the rear to discs. Any brands in particular that anyone could recomend?
Before you change to differnet brakes, you should figure out how you broke the ones you got.
"Brand name" brakes look impressive but you get your best value from just using more capible OEM brakes. For example, Civics/CRX/Integras all can share the same parts and so larger Integra brakes work well on my CRX.
Do not waste your money on inexpensive cross drilled rotors, they crack easily. You really do not need slotted rotors either.
Spend your money on expensive friction materiels- Tires and brake pads. They do the majority of your stopping for you.
