so i lost the only key i had to my winter beater the 94' accord...what the hell do i do now?? i'm locked out of the bitch and i obviously won't be able to start it once i get in it anyway..what do i do?? i was thinking of going to the dealer with the vin number and seeing if they can somehow produce a key for me..

 

You could get a real nice metal detector......run around the house with it?

 

open the car with a metal hanger take the lock from the trunk cuz its the easies to take off and go to any key shop and they will make it for 15$ and dealer is like 70$

 

if you could give them proof of ownership (insurance card with your name and vin #, and vin #) im sure they could make you a key.

 

thats why its important to have at least 3 duplicate key copies. you keep one in your wallet so you dont get locked out. happen to me and i regret it. but now i made lots of dupes.

A lock smith would of been handy if you didnt find the keys, but good job finding them. Next time dont lose your keys. Haha.

I have an ingition w/key for 60 bucks if you want it.

I think I paid $25 or $30 for a spare key for my '99 LX at the dealer (has an immobilizer). It all depends on the dealer and, I suppose, whether you have a spare key.

I miss the days of being able to walk into Wal-Mart and getting a spare key made for a buck.

 

i still can haha. lucky me. i think i have a spare set in my bedroom in ct, the kitchen, my truck, outside in the shed, and my apartment in RI. im just afraid of being locked out somewhere haha. oh i have one in my wallet too

Well he said its a 94 so it wont be a problem just getting a duplicate of the key made.

i wonder if he had a newer car w/the comp program in the key. but then that'd still be more. honda made a copy of mine for $95, i think

Take your title and/or copy of your insurance along with your ID. They will make you one with just the VIN of your car. Its like $5.
