Jerking during heavy acceration??
Hey guys,
Vehicle: 1991 Honda Accord LX 2dr 5sp. (unmodded)
Mileage: 282k but well maintained
Problem: Momentary hesitation\lack of acceleration\studder occuring ONLY at low rpms (1000-2000) during heavy acceleration. The problem occurs in every gear at low rpm, and more dramatically when I shift up into higher gears prematurly and hit the gas significantly.
Please note: this problem does not occur at higher rpms and only hesitates once for each gear change. It is a momentary hesitation that does not reoccur until I shift up into the next gear and gas it heavy.
What do you think? TPS, injector, maf sensor, egr??
The air filter is clean btw. Could it be something as simple as a clogged fuel filter??
You all rock!!!!!!
Thanks

low RPM hesitation is usually your EGR, but it could be any of those items you listed, if you've never cleaned/replaced the EGR valve, it may be time.
Like previously said, just do a check of everything affecting fuel and air and you should find your problem.
