if only putting things back together was as easy as taking them appart. the service book I have has helped with most of the stuff but heres a few things i just dont know what to do with


im assuming these hoses get connected to these on the botom but i'm not sure which goes where


and lastly theres this pulg under the intake manifold




the car was a S model and had a jdm h22a swaped in when i bought it, the swap was done by a local shop that is no longer around so i cant call them up and ask, but it looks like it was added onto the harness. After much reading when i ran into problems with the IAB's I was quick to realize that this new engine didnt come with the iab setup, and the old one didn't have it ethier. I'm thinking that the mechanic possibly added the sensor on so that the IAB's could be instaled in the future... assuming that the iab unit has a sensor with a 1 wire connection ?

your correct on the first one and i believe the sensor plus is for the knock sensor

 

Im going to concur. If you got the coolant lines unplugged from the TB you should just finish w/ the coolant bypass mod. If that plug has been unhooked from your engine you should be getting a cel for for your KS too.

 

i haven't started the car up yet, im just finishing put ing the last of the car back together, coolant bybass mod? is that just connecting those 2 hoses in the second pic together?

longer more correct answer..no

search it and youll get the idea of how to do it. You could just hook those 2, but the bends wont really work, i think.

 

ya forgot about looping them, you can do that just to get it started at first
