guard broken on bottom of car

Default guard broken on bottom of car

i dont really know if its plastic, but its the guard right underneath the engine all the way in the bottom....i was "drifting" in the snow and when i came back i could see the guard was torn off and broken...now when i drive it it drags (well, im not driving it now cause of the problem). what is it?

Just a plastic splash shield....either take it off or get a new one.

It's a splashguard. It's supposed to protect the front bottom part of the engine from flying debris, especially your pulleys and belts. You don't want a rock to get in there, trust me!

If it ripped in half, you'll have to find creative measures to secure it back. I used zipties and secured it to something stationary on the front end.

Otherwise, you can find replacements at your local junkyard.
