will you make descent power of a n/a motor wit the whole valvetrain but no p/p o nothing else done to the head?

There are alot of builds that I have seen with stock heads making good power. Im sure that headwork will result in better gains, but good power can be made using a head with no work done to it (other than valvetrain and cams). Search around. You will see that not everyone has headwork but are still able to make some pretty good power. Hope this helps

You will have some gain with just doing the valvetrain with cams. But if you did headwork along with the cams and a decent header you will definitely realize the difference.

I made 206 with no headwork and didnt really play with the cam gears on the dyno...

yea i was just asking cause im doing my very first build and i want to know wat kind of headwork to do but there is alot of things different that people do so im kinda of confused so i was just thinking bout dropping the head on the motor wit just cams and valvetrain

also on 13:1 cr running on 105 octane will i gain power and be able to play around with the cam settings and stuff

i'd have to agree with his assesment above
if you're running high compression motor then a full port and polish job will help for sure. might even net you more whp gains compared to just getting a good valve job
