Default Looking for new rims (New pictures)

Good day all. I currently drive a 2005 Silver Honda Civic LX 4 door. I'm looking for a decent set of rims. I'd like something in Polished Aluminium. I'd also like to go up to a 17 inch. Please nothing overly expensive. Thanks in advance for any help.

P.S. If I do go to a 17 inch. Can I drop it later with the Eibach kit?

The Eibach kit won't get you low enough to cause problems with a 17" wheel size. There's thousands of polished aluminum wheel designs out there, so I'd recommend nothing from American Racing, Tenzo-R, Motegi, Flik, Rota, or companies that sell primarily on eBay or sites that are "discount wheel centers". You're asking for trouble when buying those fakes.

Tenzo-R's are fake.

Konig, Enkei are decent low price brands.

I've been shopping around and think I have it narrowed down the three different wheels. What do you think:

http://www.enkei.com/Performance%20specs/sco3.html

http://www.enkei.com/Performance%20specs/zr1.html

http://www.enkei.com/Performance%20specs/rsv.html

Does anyone know how the SBC looks while the wheel is in motion? Does it shine, or is it give a blacked out look?

Again, thanks for any and all suggestions.

Not really a fan of any of the3 wheels, but maybe we have different taste's.

I would go for #1 if i HAD to choose one. I would look for something in a 16" size, and around 14-15lbs..

Enkei SC03:

Enkei ZR1:

Enkei RSV:

I would go with the SC03.

I have a set of 17" SSR Rims that are Gun metal with a Chrome lip.

I have them on my silver civic and they are extremely good looking.

i bought them for 1600 with tires and ill let them go for 1000 with 90% tire tread on tires.

pm me

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll pass. I'm leaning toward the SBC SCO3s. If I could just see how the SBC coating looks in the sun and while in motion, that could be the deal breaker. Any one know of any problems with the SBC coating?

man id sure love some ssr's but I can't stand rims with chrome lips, i think its ghetto.

No matter what anyone here tries to say

Rota is the best wheel you can buy for your money. Its a company that makes look-alike rims, and everyone disses them but the fact of the matter is they are a solid rim for a good price and they weigh next to nothing.

100% not true,

REAL deal ssr's rims can be found for CHEAP now adays and are usually 2-3 lbs lighter, and a LOT STRONGER, becase they are forged. than rota's.

Buying a rip off brand is never a good idea, they just put talented wheel manufactorers out of business by producing a cheap imitation product that is substandard of the real deal.

which has nothing to do with the fact that they are cheap and reliable. rota is like walmart. always low prices!

Reliable maybe, but id definately spend the extra on forged just for the piece of mind that they will take a HELL of a lot more of a beating than a cast rota.

Plus they are lighter, and u can say u have SSR's.

Its like saying u have a Mercedes, sure a top of the line camry would do the exact same function of driving u around, but the Merc is just that much cooler.

If u even see a real JDM showcar with rota's on it. Please let me know.

Sean I don't have permission to pm yet since I'm still a newbie but if you still have I'd lke to see a picture and I'd be interested.

If I had to pick between the three given, it would be the SC03.

nice choice, but when you're buying stuff for your car, it's your money and your tastes, so look around, there's perfect wheels for everyone.

Thanks to everyone who replied. The SCO3 was the one I had in mind also. I'm thinking I'll get the Silver ones. I have some other friends who will give their opinion to me later. Once the wheels and tires are put on, I'll try to post a pic.
