Hey all,

I'm new to this so pls bear w/me...

I'm looking at 4 rims and tires for $300 off of an Acura Si used 4 racing. Seller says only used 3 mos and has over 90% tread... 185-60-14 Nexen. I plan to use them on my '93 del sol, replacing 15" wheels. Car has Neuspeed racing susp. I don't have a b/f or other friend or family I can ask... any help is appreciated!!!

I was told pull yer part might be better but I'm looking 4 a reasonably priced matched set. I live in Oakland so our weather's mild and have over 200K mi that I put on my car.

that's not bad. it's a decent generic brand tire. if you are really not sure i would recommend meeting up w/ the seller at your local tire store and they can check them out for any nails, damage, etc.

and then you can bargain the guy down to $200 or something

 

They're not very good tires. They won't perform anywhere near as good as even a relatively inexpensive summer tire like the Kumho SPT. But as long as you're not paying more for the wheels than you would be if they came without tires, no harm in buying them and driving on them, and seeing how you like them.

find a way to buy used wheels off the japanese market direct, i found a set of wheels for $700 shipped to my door, that off icbmotorsport cost over $1000 hahahahah suck it!!!! seriously, buy genuine wheels, you wouldnt wear a folex would you?? So why make your car wear one?

Genuine JDM wheels are NOT always better than a cheaper wheel especially if you use the money you save for a modification that actually adds performance, like a good set of tires, better suspension etc. As for wearing a Folex, I wouldn't wear a Rolex, they perform like ****, are ridiculously gaudy, and are incredibly over priced. Sounds sort of like JDM rims.

You should really stop incouraging people to settle for mediocre goods. Do you live your life according to that?? Man that must suck..........and who cares about your folex collection anyway, were here to talk hondas.
but seriously, start pushing the real deal, were looking for genuine sports cars , not replicas.
