Clutchmaster vs Exedy vs Action
So I've narrowed down my next clutch to these three. I'm building an H22 with a hefty shot of nitrous. (~100) I need something that can grab the instant extra torque that comes with a nitrous power adder. I've heard people say to stay away from sprung hubs since the springs can actually fail at times. But that's all heresay...anyone actually experience this? I'm leaning towards a CM stage 3, since I've heard great things about it. Exedy has a great price, but I don't know who actually runs one on nitrous. Action is something I stumbled across at Exospeed.com. Supposedly it holds just as well as CM. And their prices are pretty good as well.
Anyone want to help me figure out what's better for my application? TIA!

i know this isn't one of the choices, but i just got my ACT heavy duty.... and that thing is great... grips strong, but the pressure isn't that much more than stock.... no chattering either
What other mods do you have? I've looked into ACT as well, and I hear good things...but I need a flywheel as well, so I'm on a limited budget. That's why I've narrowed it down to these 3 clutches, they're all around $300...so it's a toss up. How much was your ACT?

don't get stage 4 or above. it's overkill and at that point you start breaking axles which isn't a good thing. especially if you drive hard.
all the clutches are pretty much the same. they've all made names for themselves in the industry. for one that everyone likes nad speaks highly of, there is another person speaking highly of another manufacture. it's all relative.
i used to run cm stage 3 with an 8lb. cm flywheel on my h22a turbo accord pushing 5-7psi on the street and saw 10psi at the track.
had no problems at all.

With a 100 shot, you'll be generating enough torque to eat up a disc with a ACT Heavy Duty PP. You should probably go with the ACT XT pressure plate with a SS or 6-puck disc (handles ~386 ft-lbs). Be forewarned that the pressure plate for H and F motors is EXTREMELY heavy. My ankle has been getting a great workout in DC traffic...
