Default Flow benches in CA

Whats the deal? Does CA really have "Glitter Benches"? I hear today, from an east coast engine builder that flow numbers from heads ported/flowed on the west coast dont count until they are flowed on the east coast..... lol

Thats not the first time Ive heard something like that either. Are there any accurate benches in CA? Im a socal native and want to hear some feedback on the subject.

Maybe it has something to do with the humidity and massive amounts of "skeeters" on the east coast that kills flow numbers.

That just sounds like East Coast whining, just like they do about dyno's. Who cares? It is used as a tool. If a bench is calibrated correctly, it will flow the same standing on sand in Huntington Beach, CA, as it would a mile high in Denver.

It's from years of buying heads that are supposed to flow 300 cfm only to find out it's more like 270.Of course it may be that they were ported using a sf600 bench at 28" and we are checking them with a sf110 at 8".....
