Default upper control arm

okay i'm assuming if the car is lowered than the upper control arm is going to be tucked in the fenderwall right? because i look at one thats not dropped and i can see the upper control arm like straight 180 degree.. but on cars thats lowered its like at a 45 degrees tucked in the fenderwall i hope thats normal..

also my shocks are blown and i'm hearing this thump noise.. it goes "thump" is it the shocks hitting the top mount or the lower control arm bottoming out and hitting the fenderwall since its tucked?

yes, thats normal. maybe not 45* but sitting up at an angle is normal when the car is dropped.

I assume you meant to say the UCA hitting the fender, not the LCA. If the car is sitting really low, you have a greater chance of having clearance issues with the UCA. But the thump you are hearing could also be your struts bottoming out since they are blown.

If the struts are blown, replace them. How low is your car?

would bad shocks make my car sway alot and pull to the left and front? or thats the problem plus alignment?

probably more of an alignment issue, but if your struts are bad, then just replace them and then get an alignment.

hmmmmm sounds like you might want to make sure you control arms are not bent.... my car swayed alot especially over 25mph and when i hit bumps in the road. replaced the CA and now its sweet

and definitely replace struts if they're beat!
