Default Regarding seat back brace use on Non-FIA seat.

As per the NASA CCR I believe it states that all Non-FIA rated seats must use a seat back brace. I have no problem with this in that I have an Autopower back brace currently on my drivers seat (Kirkey intermediate). Although I just recently bought a Passenger seat (still at the HPDE level) for the instructor. Its a Buddy club fixed seat. This seat is made of a fiberglass composite, does anyone reccomend me not to drill in to a fiberglass seat to mount the brace?

Thanks guys,

-Sander.

For NASA the brace need not be bolted to the seat. Just set it up touching the seat with as large a plate as reasonable to spread the load.
