As the title says. When i'm accelerating i can hear a faint hissing sound coming from the engine. I know there is no vaccum leaks as it holds a steady idle.

what could be the problem???

btw, this is a 94 integra ls auto.

 

Is this a new problem, or has it always existed? How loud is the hissing? My DC4 had a hissing noise, my best friends DC has a hissing noise, and my girlfriends has a hissing noise. I think this might be somewhat normal on DC's. Mine was a 95 LS, my friends is a 98 LS, and my girlfriends is a 95 LS auto. Her's is lounder than ours though. That might be something to do with it being an automatic.

Does it have a aftermarket cold air or short ram intake? You can hear the air being sucked in on mine at certain rpm's.

 

^same. i got scared the first few times i heard it. only in at certain throttle position with my custom SRI

 

no sir. everything on this car is bone stock.
