Default 93 Accord problem starting

93 Accord Ex would not start this morning. Turning the key the engine would turn over come up to RPM and die after a few seconds. Repeated attemps resulted in same symptoms. On one attempt I pressed gas pedal as I was turning the key and the car started and ran normal. Drove car to work with no problems. Problem reoccured when I stopped for coffee but has started up fine the last couple of hours.
Any ideas before I set up a service appt with Honda

165,000 miles on the 93 Accord. Had the vehicle serviced in late December and Smogged in January. Car has ran fine up until this morning. I have gone out a few times this morning and started the car. It is starting normally. Could have problem been associated with cold. It was a little colder than usual this morning (for San Diego) it was cold!

Yeh, could be a weak battery, at 165K it's about time for a new dizzy if you haven't already swapped it out.
I would check the charge on the battery, you can bring your battery into a pepboys or autozone for a battery check.

Thanks for your input. I will have the Battery checked out at lunch today, although I do not believe it is the battery as the car does turn over and start for a few seconds. My past experience with weak batteries have resulted in vehicle not turning over or turning over weakly.

I could be wrong though and will check out the battery

It is most likely the ELECTRICAL PART OF YOUR IGNITION SWITCH.

Been there.

A possible test: Start the car, but do NOT let the key spring back all the way; back it off just enough so the starter is not grinding. If the engine keeps running now, you have found the problem -- the electrical part of the ignition switch.

Maybe it's your plugs? Maybe your valve cover gasket is torn and oil is going into the plugs?

Quit throwing parts at the problem and strive for an accurate diagnose.
Spark Fuel and Timing are the basics that need to be checked.

x2 Check the Main Relay. It is up above the drivers side floor board. I can get you a write up of where it is, how to remove it and how to check it if you would be interested. LMK. Later

ok ive found out what my problem was i had a friend send me a map for an h22 to try out on my F20B Sir-t and i found out the injector size on the map was 340 cc and my f20 has only 290cc injectors so it was dumping too much fuel into the engine stalling it out at startup, i found this out by slightly pressing the gas to keep the idle at 1200 rpm till it was at normal temp and took my foot off the gas and she stayed running. so im having him rewrite it and also i tested my iacv and found out its either hooked up wrong or is bad, plus im using the original obd2 iacv so i decided to get an adapter plate so i can use an obd1 iacv. I shoudl be getting the plate in on friday
