Can all you guys with the fireball on your EG please post pics? I am about to buy the exhaust and I just wanna see how it looks on the EG's first. I have a million pics of it on the EK's and it looks so sweet, just need to see it on the EG. Also any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

u dont need one if u buy the whole thing. u will need one if u get custom piping and no resonator though. just buy the whole thing. nice quiet exhaust. low quiet deep tone.

 

I bought a straight pipe w/ 5zigen fireball muffler welded on from a friend and i was wondering where i could purchase a silencer for it? Is the firball really considered a quiet exhaust because it's loud as HELL with the straight pipe.

 

That's the first time I've ever heard anyone call a Fireball quiet. Last time I heard one it was loud as all hell.

 

thats not true....fireball+custom piping=loud

full fireball catback+cat in place=nice mellow exhaust.

Trust me, I've heard a full Fireball catback. It's loud to me. So is a Tanabe RM, HKS Hiper, A'PEXi N1, skunk2/RS*R invidia, etc.

You're what I like to call a "loud exhaust people." As in, you actually note the differences between all the loud exhausts, while I just think they're all loud. No offense. You're just loud exhaust people.

 

actually..dont assume things, i hate loud exhaust. if the exhaust was loud i would have sold it. loud exhaust bug the **** out of me. only loud exhaust i wanna hear is a built motor running open header.

 

Fire ball looks good like it does it have a angled muffleer like N1?

 

look at my pics...slight angle on the coupes. on my friends ek its angled just a bit more
good angle. not ridiculous like i have seen on some.

what do you guys think of the HKS Hiper cat-back...wait..is there even such a thing for the hatches?? well, if there is...what do you think of it?

 

HKS Hiper is nice too. Looks almost identical to APEXi N1. Don't know if it's as loud as APEXi. Usually a little more expensive for HKS products. Look at the Skunk2/RSR Invidia catback, very nice system..

 

 

Well I guess nobody's going to listen to me since I think that the resonated versions are still loud as all hell. Open mufflers are loud to me, plain and simple. There's no huge performance gain of running one over say a DC Sports or A'PEXi WS other than some kind of perceieved "racecar effect" going on. So I think that the noise is just that, noise.

So, if anyone out there thinks that any sort of loud exhaust is annoying, be forewarned. If it's got some kind of N1-style muffler you won't find it quiet.

 

Agreed. My friend has a fireball on his dx eg and it was loud. He just recently dropped an LS engine in his hatch and the fireball is crazy loud. I thought my tanabe rm is loud, the fireball is very raspy and this is the cat-back version.

 

i think that the apex'i WS could be the way to go....nice and quiet but still sounds great when you really get on it....and none of that bees in a tin can raspy sound...just nice and deep tone. and really cheap too.....hers are a couple of pics of it on my car....
