Default Type R shift boots

I wanna get a type R shift boot, but i'm not sure which one to get. I have a 2000 civic, but i've heard that the ITR shift boot will fit if you reuse the stock bracket. Looks like the ITR boot is shorter? Anyone done this? Pics of both would be great

I have an ITR boot on my Si. You'll have to to re-use the Si's bracket/frame, but its no big deal. Takes all of a minute to swap over. If I remember correctly, the ITR's frame was more narrow.

If you want a direct plug and play, you should get the CTR instead (no price difference).

I just wanted to make sure it fits good with the civic bracket. I assume the boot is shorter and doesn't "dip" down and up like the stock one right?

my old boot looked rediculous with the short shifter

^^ looks a bit baggy to me, maybe the shifter is just to high for my taste, but to each his own.

If you are going for looks thats one thing. But a short shifter will not help you performance wise.

not to jack the thread back, but does anyone have any pics of the itr/or ctr boot with the shorter gsr shifter? or even a skunk2 single bend? My stock boot is floppy as crap with the single bend skunk shifter, i think i might go for the itr boot

Well see i have a short throw shifter, and bitch about performance if you must, but i'd take it any day over stock in terms of looks and feel. But in any case it sits pretty low and i don't want a huge dip in the boot like it used to do which is why i was asking about the ITR boot. The ITR one is actually shorter in length right?

I just went on ebay and bought this one for like 25 bucks. It looks pretty good, I have it matched up w/ a bronze blox ****.

Ive had it for about 6 months now and it is holding together fine, looks as good as the day I bought it.
