Its a 5 Gen ('00) but that seems weird i wonder if there is anyway to make it beep becuase i would really like it just so i know its lock from a distance. I have been having problems with my remote not working all the time so the beep would be nice.

check your manual. know that most alarms have a sequence to turn the honks on and off. when unlocking and locking. Or try asking your Honda dealership.

wat year 5th gen do u have. i have a 98 and i looked into it. it came on the 99-01's but if u want it for 98 or 97 u can get the alarm from honda or some place its like 200 and change and u'll need an adapter thats another 100 buks or so. this is what the guy at the honda dealer told me. so your looking like 500 buks at that price u might as well get a viper or something. i'm just looking for a simple keyless entry.

It only did that with a factory alarm IIRC. My '00 Lude does not have the security option hene no beep-beep but my '00 Accord does have that option and it goes honk-honk when I lock the car twice.
