i had posted awhile back if it was possible to put mudflaps with the rear lip and everyone said NO unless i would do some heavy mods to the lip or mudflap itself.
well i decided to give it a try. the crazy thing is that everything bolts just like stock no mods need to be done. the thing u wanna keep in mind is that i didnt even try to fit it any better than the pics so basically with a bit more effort they will
have no gap at all.
i was told awhile back that if u have a 99-00 back bumper with lip and u use mudguards from a 96-98 that the fitment is as close to oem as possible.
is it true i have no clue.

I would disagree with that. If you look at the profile of the 96-98 bumper it goes in at the bottom moreso than the 99-00. That would make it fit worse if you really think about it.

thats what i thought but since the bumper on the 96-98 go in more it would probably hug the lip a bit better. the only problem with the 99-00 mudguard is that it leaves a space.
god dammit my friend has some 96-98 mudguards am gonna try it tomorros

well the lip comes OUT though. The 96-98 bumpers go in more where the lip is. So thats the exact opposite of what you need. The gap you have is because the flaps are resting against the lip already. Who knows try it and see. I think its quite the opposite of what you need, let us know though

when did oem mud flaps become the latest gay-dm craze? so ugly.....</TD></TR></TABLE>
And Civics don't have option mud flaps. Technically they're mud guards (aka splash gaurds). Or so says Honda. Mud flaps are flaps of rubber.
These are small pieces of cupped plastic that mold to the side of the car. Mud flaps, which belong on trunks, aren't like that.
And nothing JDM about it. I know my USDM Civic came with them. They're OEM and serve a purpose... keeping the car cleaner and free from rock chips. Whatever though, always has to be a hater that just comes in just to say they don't like it even though it's not remotely on topic.

^^ Exactly... I want a set because it pisses me off when I wash my car and then drive through the slightest little puddle and its all over the side of my ****. I hate that.
i waited forever to get myself a pair, finally got a pair, then my rear lip came in. had to take them off, but im int he process once its warm out to figure out how to fit them on too

you have to trim the mudflap a little bit to get it to work. my friend did it on his 00 sedan and it came out real good

3M now has a clear plastic film that goes on the front of the car. There are a lot of brand new cars with them.

I slightly cracked my Replica CTR rear lip on my 98 hatch. i opted to buy a set of Splash Guards for the civic. now the fronts fit like a charm but the rears have maddd gap between the bottom of the bumper and the bottom portion of the splashguard thats supposed to hug the bumper. This was with the Rear Lip uninstalled. Im thinking of re-installing the rear lip and then mounting the Rear Splash Guards. I'll post some pics later.
Does anyone know if the rear Guards for the Coupes/Sedans are Different from the Hatch??? seems like the Hatch rear bumper isnt as large as the Coupes/Sedans, Height wise.

As for the fronts all 96-00 civic guards are the same. But for the rear sedan/coupe are the same. Depending if you have 96-98 rear bumper or 99-00 rear bumper.
