Default time is up for a new motor....need some help.

Ok i finally think the motor on my 92 wagon is done for, the thing dosent even cranck over, and its dripping everything out of her. she served well, but its time for something else.

Her is my questions, i want to either swap, out the motor, and get another f22 longblock, pretty much everything besides the tranny. I am not sure what that is gonna coast me, but i figured it would be a direct bolt up. NO hassle no fuss.

My good friend told me, that i can get an h22 longblock wich iam assuming is everything minus the tranny, and it also directly bolts up to the tranny. But, the thing is, i feel like the h22 is gonna have some set backs, i am not sure what they are yet. I mean, what about mounts? ant etc parts to make it work? would i need anything else to purchase, or just get hte motor, have the shop swap it out and done.

I dont know what option to go with, i just need to fastest and hassle free way of going about it, cause this is my daily/surf wagon. SO either the f22, or H22 wich one would u go with. Thanks for the help appreciate it.

P.s

what does a longblock usually come with?

You bumped your post after less than an hour?
Are you going to do the work tonite?
a 'longblock' is the block and head.
Search might [though I doubt it] help you to find swap info.

H22 I know is a direct drop in for your car. But I know one of the mounts don't exactly line up. And if you stick to the same transmission, the f22 has long gears, vs. the h22 short gears.. faster acceleration. If your not going to use it for any kind of racing or anything, Id just drop in another f22, they're a dime a dozen. Or maybe a jdm f22b dohc non-vtec. Later.

yeah i am not looking for performance, i mean the only thing that makes me want the h22, is that its a bit more torque then the f22 in my car sohc. But I really dont wnat the shop to do anything complicated, so i think i am just gonna get another f22 motor and throw it.
