Ever since I have had my 91 integra I thought that the heater motor might not be the greatest. It works on all 4 settings but does not blow very hard still.
Well i recently acquired a 93 integra and i noticed that the motor blows heat ALOT more faster than the 91.
Should i just replace the motor or could it be a switch or something? is there a way to test anything?
thanks

Quick question: Does your car leak water onto the passenger side floorboard? If yes, then the heater blower motor might have had some water in it repeatedly, which can rust up the bearings.
I have a 92 RS with 302K miles, the blower motor had water leaking into it from worn seals in the upper cowl. The fan intensity seemed to decrease gradually over time until it finally stopped blowing altogether (froze up).
I grabbed some PB Blaster, and went to the passenger side floorboard. If you look at the blower motor, you will see a vent tube that blows cool air to the motor. I pulled the tube and sprayed PB liberally into the motor and hose. The fan came back to life and was much more intense than it was before. I let it run for 15 minutes with the doors open for the fumes to be blown out, still smells for awhile tho. I have been running the fan for a couple years this way, and respray around every 6 months with PB.
