seatbelt warranty info(my car hates me)
what exacly is covered in the honda safety warranty as far as the seat belt goes. i've been told by clark knapp honda in mcallen, texas that the retracting seatbelt isn't covered. but i'm convinced it should be covered.
sorry about the two posts but i can't edit the title on the other one and i have very limited internet access.

Just FYI ALL honda seat belt parts: buckles, belts, retracters, auto-seat belts, control units ect. are warrantied for the life of the car through honda. If they won't warranty it just take it to another dealer to get it taken care of.
alright i called american honda before i went to the dealership to register my car when i got a chance to look at the vin number, and re explained the situation and was then told that the part that is malfunctioning is not under warranty. so i hung up and called again and talked to someone else with the same response. where can i find this info in writing so i could go through it myself.

In your first thread I asked whether your interior lights switch correctly with the door (you never specifically answered that). That's triggered by the little button in the doorjamb. If that's the real cause, then it is not the seatbelt that's causing the problem. In that case it wouldn't be warrantied. Also, in that case it's probably a relatively easy DIY fix.
