nightmare!
so i bought some kamikaze headers and a 2.5 inch collector. well i had a friend that was a previous prelude owner, he told me that the flanges on the collector will match to the catalytic converter. well after 4 hours of taking the stock exhaust off due to fucked up bolts and stuff to that matter, i realized he was wrong. my flanges were no where near fitting to the stock exhaust.
lame...
my question, why would his car have a diffferent exhaust system. when we were taking mine off he told me his stock headers were completely different. we both have the same cars, 01 base. how can his be so different?

he had 2 preludes at different times. one was a red sh that got totalled, sadly.
the other was a white base. they said the base had a 4 to 1 stock. mine is 4-2-1.
so idk i think theyre talking about the sh.
sh have a different header/down pipe configuration?
anyway, im off to the muffler shop to get that down pipe chopped to the right size and get a flange cut off my spare 2.5" collector and welded to the cat.
gah damn. i was up til 315 am. had to be at work by 745am.
eh. taking it off was horrible. but putting it back on after i seen the mistake took less than ten.
i shoulda ran open headers

About the header issue, SH exaust systems are different from base exhausts.

some lil black civic prolly about years 94-96 blew my doors off in the right lane and i know the cop got him doing 60+ and then pulled me over instead. i was barely coming outta second gear when all this happened so i woulda been way up there in vtec. the dumb **** cop hella woulda heard me in vtec and then i woulda got exhibition. so i know his *** is lying it was impossible to be doing 62 b/c i was behind a semi at the time lol.
