difference between ITR and Skunk 2 Intake Manifold
i have an intake manifold for my NA setup but im not sure if its an ITR or Skunk 2 manifold...i've search and noticed that not all Skunk 2 have the plate on the top that say skunk 2 so it pretty much looks like the ITR...is there any other way i can tell what manifold i have besides the stamp/plate????
if you look at the top pic, it has the plate im talkin about and the bottom one doesnt.....mine doesnt have it...what else can i look for??

dont know...but i just took a look at my manifold, and it only has 1 hole at each end...like if you look at the pic, on the ends, the skunk 2 manifold has 2 holes on each side about 1/2 apart....my manifold has 1....
now, where you serious about your question, or is that a way to tell the difference???
what else can i look for people???
thanks in advance..

If your manifold is the one in the bottom picture of your first post, I can tell that it is definately one of the earlier Skunk2 intake manifolds. A genuine type R manifold has a slightly darker color and has much more texture or bumps on the casting. Also the two dimples on the front of the throttlebody flange give it away, and are not found on a genuine ITR manifold. Also post a picture of the underside of your manifold. A type R manifold also has a bracket on the bottom to mount up to the stock honda block bracket. You can also look for a stamped logo of "P73" on the back of the plenum, these are found on all ITR's. Hope this helps.
