upgrading sound system on preimum stock sound have issues with stock amp?
hey everyone well i already bought all my stuff for upgrading my sound system but im consernd if i have everything i need ? because i have the stock preimum sound that has the stock amp 7 spkrs 8'' sub and i was told that if i dont get this bypass amp harness i wont be able to upgrade to an aftermarket amp or somethign like that
so do i need this amp bypass ? or can i install my sound and forget about that? im doing everything install subs skrs amps Hu everything

Im not sure if you'll need the harness if you're doing a complete swap with speakers new amps and head unit because the subs and speakers will now have their own individual sources of power.
Post this in the <U>Audio/Video/Security </U>forum and you might get a better response there, especially from a guy called fcm. He knows all about this.

stock HU has a Power IC so it would be standard. All of the other sound "packages" have a separated amp and the HU only does pre-amp out to a unique harness. that is what they are probably referring to.

exactly so im consern if i need to run thro the dumb amp bypass cables or of i can just yea the install it self around $500 , f*ck that i know im a good installer i dont do things half assed and my buddy (a super experice installer) well the one that teached me all the **** he'll lend me a hand im sure , so im not even going to mess with the stock wiring and all that **** im just gonna splice the spkr wire run it tro the lil plastics > door sills / undercarpet and back to amp , from amp > rca's and from there i jus use the harness it comes with for power / iluminator remote lead etc etc... so on that part i do need to splice the back end but thats it right?
mods please move this to proper section if possible
