some of my wires in the engine bay are like hard and if u bend them they crack has anybody had this problem the wires to like my tw sensor or other sensors have broke what causes the wires to get like that. I remember like 2 years ago when my car was all stock the engine bay was so clean the wires werent even like that and all of a sudden 2 years later they are stiff and crack

 

something got spilled on them and it dried up, so when you go to mess with them the plastic cracks...I just say tape them but its up to you if you want to run new wires

 

i think its probably the oil cause the head use to have kinda a leak because of bad valve cover seal, got it fixed but left me with bad wires. I already fixed the cracked wires and taped them let see how long they last.

 

also why they have wire loom :-)
