Default I've got a few questions.....

New to the site, I recently bought a 92 Honda Prelude.

I just got a h22a4 for it, but the block has a spun bearing, so im going to put it on an F series block temporarily.....then build the H22A4 block.

^I've been told that this is possible, but just wanted to verify this.

Also if anyone knows what size socket is needed for the Headbolts on the H22.

Yea im a newb.

thanks man, im going to my garage now and will check on it.

Does anyone know if the H22 head will fit on the F22a1 block?
Do i have to take the oil pin out of the F22 block like the Sohc mini me swaps?

Thanks

The car came with no motor to begin with?
Just as long as you don't get exited and try to get F20C. Haha!

There are several F-series/H-series Franken motor write ups in the FAQs.

The lude has an F22A1 currently in it, but i've had overheating issues with the car, so i'd like to put a new head gasket on it, water pump, radiator and hopefully that will fix it. So while I do all of that, im going to temporarily run the H22 head on the block, until i build the h22a4 block.

thanks I'll look again through the faq, im interested to see what kind of power this setup makes, i've heard a little about it...

Thanks televator

Also If anyone knows this ?

Does a 90-95ish accord radiator work and function correctly in my lude?

It's probable, but don't take my word for it. If you have the radiator at hand just check to see if all the mounts line up with the points in you engine bay. There is some flexiblity if they don't...some people around here are using civic radiators.

Its not a 14 mm, I believe its a 15 mm, it fits quite snug, but a 14 won't even go on the headbolt. also whats the torque spec?

If anyone knows this for sure, please chime in......
I don't want to strip the bolts....

its not a 15...in fact, i dont think honda used a 15 mm bolt on any of their cars FROM the factory...not to say someone didnt molest it and check the bolt head size.
