i think i know ur problem bc i have a similar one. i got mine off ebay so its probly just a **** piece but the way the holes all line up it doesnt fit perfectly. but actually if u put the plates on the opposite strut towers it lines up perfectly but the bar wont reach. its probly just poorly made but it still serves its purpose.

this is a little ot but have you considered a rear sway bar?

that'll help much more than a rear strut bar. the rear strut bar is just for bling.

i got mine for 15 bucks so i couldnt resist it...the holes do line up, but the ****** flanges are sooo big that they hit the raised side of the fender wall..so i wouldnt be able to bolt the tower bolt down completely (owned)...the only way i see it would fit would to be to bash my fender well in..and im not about to do that for a 15 dollar piece of ****!

thats pretty much wut happened to mine. ill take a pic of it tomorrow for u. try putting the plates on the opposite strut tower than theyre supposed to be on. see if they fit perfectly like mine did. its as if they welded the mounts for the bar on the wrong side. but hey thats ebay **** for u

the one i got off ebay is SUPER thick and weighs a good 6lbs... but the damn flanges are annoying, did you just tighten down that bolt to make it fit right or did everything drop right into place?

There is almost no room for adjustment. Everything fit neatly, then I just tightened down the bolts.

Buy or rent an angle grinder and a cut-off wheel. That'll chop through it in 10 seconds.

Here is some photos of my Tanabe

My problem is the front! The bar seems to be too long. It can't fit in the rear or the front.
