i wonder if the numbers after S80 have any meaning?? im almost positive the tranny i am looking at is a 97 spec jdm itr tranny, i just want a way to be positive.. , I would hate to put a gsr tranny in my all motor build.

the story to this tranny is a few years back a old friend of mine got a full 97 jdm itr swap from some company, this person sold it (tranny)to a close friend of mine, and i am getting it from him. tranny has never been used yet since bought back in 05. so all of us belive its a itr tranny since it came with the swap.. i just want a way to prove it.. thanks for the help..

JDM GSR trannies dont have LSD J4D stamped on them, 96spec trannies do, however the stamp may be worn off by now but you should be able to see some of it possibly....
