Default VTEC speed check

Is there any way to disable the VTEC speed check without a tuning program such as Uberdata or Hondata? If there is, how would i go about doing that?

The speed check you don't mean the 12 mph or so needed as one of the requirements to X over....

If so I really don't like where this is going LOL.

Are you maybe speaking of the top speed governer?

noooooo.

what i'm saying is.

my VSS doesn't work. so my speedo doesn't work. so ultimately my VTEC doesn't work. So what i'm asking is there anyway to jump the ecu so that it doesn't check for the 8mph needed to engage VTEC? I know there's a way to jump the ECU for VTEC oil pressure, so there must be a way to do this.

hmm.....i dunno how that works, because VTEC must have a certain speed registered before it engages, and my VSS is bad...i just don't know what to do. I need to find a way so that it doesn't require a speed check to engage VTEC.

I pretty sure that there is no way around that the ecu has to have the vss to engage vtec are the ecu connections good if so try another ecu and if that dosent work your going to have to replace vss

Looks like you just have to wait until your VSS gets replaced. Don't half-*** something just to get VTAK y0.
