I waited till the layer on the car was melted and was able to be lifted off, so i chopped up the ice and snow in big blocks to lift them off my car (with my hands) but one of the blocks slipped and slid off the car and the hood n stuff (made me cringe) but no big scratches from the ice. i've got new paint since the summer too

its nothing to worry about, its the salt thatll rot your car, but if your in england, you dont get much snow, a few inches at most?

Yup we only got 4-5 inches this time, which is a lot for where I live. I have relatives in Canada; I know how you roll!
They HEAVILY grit the roads over here
I took the car out for a drive when it was clean, it came back grey from all the salt!
