Default custom 2.5 exhaust with twin loop muffler? options?

I'm getting an exhaust made for my integra with 2.5 piping all the way back. I want to fit a twin loop muffler to the rear, and was wondering which I should go with. I'm not looking to spend a fortune, but I saw a few on ebay and wasnt sure if they are any good. My main concerns are the performance, rigidity, and how the exhaust sounds. These are the 2 links I found of some mufflers that interest me.

OBX twin loop with 2.5 inlet:

Some generic twin loop with 2.5 inlet:

Oh and one last thing! where would you find the connector thing (where the bolts go through) that would connect the piping to the CAT.

thanks for the help people

about a year ago i made a twin-loop exhaust for my hatch using an Ebay muffler.
plenty of them are 2.5" in,but most shrink to 2" for the tubing in and around the can.i finally found one that was true 2.5" throughout.
i built the exhaust, and it was extremely quiet for about an hour, then it slowly got very loud.all the packing was covering the back of my car!it had all blown out and stuck to the back of the hatch.i cut a square in the top of the can,and repacked it with steel wool and fiberglass packing, then welded the plate back on.haven't had any problems yet,and it's still very quiet.

so,you may have a problem finding a true 2.5" muffler, and then all the packing may blow out.if i did it again,i'd buy a high quality(like Magnaflow)twin in/twin out 2.5" oval muffler, and make my own twin-loop.i'm sure the price of paying somebody to build that for you though would be pretty high,as there's some meticulous fitting and welding to be done.
the flange on the back of the cat is just a standard 3-bolt.available at auto parts stores and exhaust shops.

couple pics.Dynomax mufflers for the test pipe and resonator, with a V-band flange for the axle back section.

Awesome thank you very much TNGchris! You pretty much did what I plan on doing, and the pics are very helpful. Hopefully in about a month I'll have pics of mine. Yeah I figured it might be a lil pricey, but I don't see the point of paying like $300+ for a premaid exhaust with smaller piping then I wanted. Once again thanks man.

no problem.i paid around $80 for the muffler,$25 for the resonator,$20 for the shorter resonator,$20 for the V-band,and about $30 worth of piping(just scraps i had laying around the shop).less than $200 total.of course, labor would be more if you don't do it yourself.
are you welding this yourself?

the twin-loop?i had several different mufflers on that exhaust that were just too loud.the cops here are REALLY strict on modded exhausts,so i needed something quieter than any straight-thru muffler could offer.most multi-pass mufflers(like your average "turbo" muffler)make the gasses do two 180 degree turnarounds with badly shaped baffles.the twin-loop at least is all mandrel bent, and on a bigger radius.i'd say it's the best flowing multi-pas muffler you can get.

I am assuming less restriction while maintaining a quiet sound? Good work on the exhaust i really like to see exhausts painted black like that. Good work!

I've done a lil bit of welding, but IDK if my skills are up to par yet! I've had a few of my friends get there exhaust welded in the local area for a good price. We have alot of small muffler shops here that will almost do anything for a few bucks (most are going out of buisness). I'll check around first, but if it comes down to it I will be doing it my self.

sorry to thread-jack,but here are some other pics on the car.i ended up cutting off the tip that flares to 4"(which i had already shortened in the above pics) and replacing it with a straight piece of 3" pipe.

if you can afford to do it,i'd definitely go with the Magnaflow two in/two out muffler, and maybe pay a shop to make it into a twin-loop muffler.fabbing the rest of the exhaust isn't too hard, andmaybe you could do that yourself.

i have the obx 2.5 twin loop and a magnaflow 22inch resonator. and a turbo. from the turbo all the way to the muffler the exhaust is straight through... os it should be super loud. but it isnt. its only a lil bit louder than stock. i was really suprised. the obx muffler is decent for the price but it does get louder over time... mine didnt get big time louder but enough for me to notice.

also your in luck cause i also have experience with that other muffler link you have. my friend actually has that muffler on his turbo integra
actually we have essentially the same setups
the only diff is he has an ls engine log manifold same resonator as me and the second ebay twin loop that sells for cheaper.

and me i have a b20 with a ramhorn manifold and same 22in magnaflow resonator as my firend straight through piping same as him except i have the obx twin loop.

his exhaust is WAYYYY louder. dont touch that cheaper twin loop....

he originally had a regular straight through exhaust but he got tired of how loud it was so he put on the twin loop. it got a lot quieter but its still a far distance from sounding close to stock.

My brother had an EK with a b16b motor, 2.5" exhaust, and a real twin-loop. Rediculously loud after vtec.

I later welded a faux twin-loop (obx maybe) to a crx (jdm b16) with some cheap muffler shop's 2.5". The owner before him had a stock pee-shooter muffler welded onto the 2.5" - sounded like a go-kart when vtec engaged. With the faux twin-loop, it wasn't quiet, but sounded much better.
