Default Dont know how to read my Air Fuel Ratio chart, tell me what it says!

basically, i got my car dyoned last summer and they gave a print out of my air fuel ratios. i have no idea what im looking at or what its supposed to be.

i was hoping that if i posted my chart on here that someone could tell me how my motor is running, what the numbers mean, and where it should be.

im running a 92 prelude S with a JDM H22A with a virgin P28 ecu. mods are i/h/e.

any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

i'm suprised the virgin p28 is even able to provide a decide graph.

why are you driving around on a stock p28 ecu?

anway, typically most people will tune a stock motor/NA motor to around 13.3-13.7 or around that. Depends on the tuner.

your motor is running pretty rich from 3000 to about 4800. When you get tuned, the tuner will take out fuel there in order to make the car run leaner (less parts fuel to air)

what changed between the first run and the last two runs?

its not dangerously lean by anymeans up top, but it sure could use some work.

It looks like the motor responded better to a richer tune, follow the green lines. Also, how did they get these A/F readings? From the back of the exhaust, or directly in the header/collector?

yeah the only reason im driving on a stock p28 is because i could never afford hondata or the dyno tune for it. the car has always run fine and ive never had any problems with it so i never worried about it.

so basically what you guys are saying is im running rich in the lower rpms and lean in vtec?

i dont remember or know how they got the reading (i was just there for the hp/tq readings). it was run as 3 pulls back to back to back with a small pause in between so i nothing was tuned during it.

im thinking of going with a crome chipped p28 and finding someone to install a jdm h22 basemap on it for now.
