If you're genuinely concerned why don't you call the police?

Damn lately i be seeing too many post like this and i see the same replys. My friend posted a possible theft recovery and they started accusing him because he didn't get the vin or call the cops. MY ADVICE TO THE NEXT PERSON WHO SEES A POSSIBLE STOLEN CAR, JUST DON'T BOTHER POSTING ANYTHING OR SAY ANYTHING AT ALL BECAUSE SOME H-T GUYS CAN BE DICKS

In for pics...it'd be nice if this guy found a car that someone posted some thread earlier about it being stolen. Maybe it can be recovered before it's all gone. But I'm thinking someone broke down and while they're trying to get money for a tow truck or something theives are running rampant and stealing ****.

Don't do a disservice to the community. The nature of the post is good. It's just that the odds are astronomically against this car ACTUALLY being a theft recovery, the owner ACTUALLY reading this forum, and ACTUALLY seeing this thread, and ACTUALLY knowing that this car is his without any vin or pics.
Nobody is accusing anyone here, you are the only one spreading any ill will.
My point is twofold:
1. The cops can find out pretty damn sure and pretty damn quick if the car is stolen or not.
2. The cops are eventually going to have to be involved for a theft recovery anyway.
Better to call them first and post here second, rather than posting here and waiting for someone to respond while the car sits. Still
to the OP, and anyone who does these kinds of posts, for at least trying to help.

stop trying to be a hero by posting it here. it does no good. but cause arguments among other members on what to do.
you should have used your damn cell phone to call police give them the plates, and the vin# and call it a day.
you should have called northeast station. but your 17 so i wouldnt expect you to know exactly what to do anyway...

its twards the end of &(&^&&^%$&^%^ down buy the %&%%$&%$& ... i would go get some pics of the car ,the Vin , and the plates ...
but if it werent for me sitting in my room throwing up every 30 min (food poisoning) id be down there .
and if i called the cops up with no vin and no plates that would be absolutely point less . dont you think ?
yes i am 17 and once i get the vin and plate # ... ill give the station a call but for the present ... i cant do much but to post what i think may be a stolen car .

Don't broadcast where the car is so that someone can go jack it if it's unattended. You probably don't need the plate/vin to call the cops. Just ask them to check on the car. Are you trying to help or inflate your post count?
