Default 92 Gas Mileage Falling - Need Help

My gas mileage has been falling over the last year or two. I used to get about 420 to 440 miles per tank and now I get about 300-320. The sled has about 280K on it.

Timing belt is 5K old. Tires are new and car is aligned. I did new cap, plugs, wires, rotor, etc. about 15K ago.

I guess that I should look at the O2 sensor next? Is there any way that I can test this with standard equipment, or should I just get a new one? As far as I know the the O2 sensor is original.

Any other opinions or suggestions? Thanks.

can anyone make a FULL list of what we should change in order to get a better gas mileage? because im only getting 150 miles on a full tank.

+spark plugs
+spark plug wires (i might go with ngk)
+oil change
+oil filter
+air filter
+O2 sensor
+EGR (forgot what it means)
+granny driving
+distributor cap
+distributor rotors
+thermostat

what else can i add to the list so that i can make a new topic of a list for getting better mpg out of your accord?

Yeah. Air filter is good too. I usually buy 3 or 4 at a time and change them when I change oil.

This has been going down for 2 years and I take good care of my car. This is not a routine maint thing.

i see this exact topic on a monthly basis. do a search and make a check list from all the other post others have already replied to. factor is as your car ages, that it will deteriote production. perks of having an older car.
