Haha that thing is hella ghetto. It realy does trick your ecu into thinking the intake air is cold, but it really doenst help with performance. If you really want to try it you can buy that little resistor thing at radio shack for like 5 cents.

waste of time and money
all it duz is trick your ecu into thinking the incoming air is colder than it really is causing the ecu to think the air in the combustion chamber is more tightly packed than at a warmer temp. This causes the ecu to dump fuel as to not run lean and you just end up burning more gas.

hell yeah. it wil boost yur car to run like 3 lbs of turbo with no spool up on a garret turbo with a 200 cubic inch FMIC. SERIOUSLY!! but for real. it will make yur car run great for like 2 days. untill it blows yur motor up. yur car will always run best right before kablooey.... so
Deffinitely don't. I'm sure you're also seen the thing that says "juice box" I've wasted my money on that and yea it had a little more go on acceleration due to tricking your ECU but as previous people have posted, it causes you to use more fuel and you can get the resistor at radio shack for less than a buck. It also caused my car to overheat because mine had to go in the coolant temp sensor loop and it screwed that all up. Took it off and the car ran fine. Don't do it.
thanks guys. thats why i asked for your opinions. I'll just save up and get tuned. does anyone have a mugen chip? i just need it for the moment.Im located by san diego and i need one by friday night.not just a chip that had the rev limiter raised.thanks .
does any chip realy work or even sending in the ECU to be "tuned" if so what exacly do they do, just reset **** that you can do yourself with a computer and some software?
chips do work they are programmed to shoot more fuel and raise the rev limiter but im looking for a mugen cause I'm running,skunk2pro2 manifold+throttle body and short ram with a velocity stack and i'm sure it will help.

Read all the fine print. Dyno the chip. If it does not perform up to their claims, sue them.
Then buy yourself something that's not off Ebay. (Even though I love Ebay! - Not for car parts.)
