Default Road trip from Dallas to L.A

i need some suggestions on what route is best, good places to stop & eat... ect.... I would like someone that has taken a similar route or trip to cali.

The best route at this time is I-20 then I-10. Do not go to I-40 (snow). Eating place, anywhere that is close to the exit. Good luck.
