I made an exhaust clip of my RSX-S muffler on my custom 2.25" piping... It sounds super raspy, the cat is gutted so I don't think that is going to cause it... Here's the video clip, lemme know if you know what's wrong with it...

usually having a gutted cat does cause that raspy sound...

 

its the hallowed out cat, if you buy a high flow cat youget better flow without the raspyness of no cat.

 

do you have a resonator? I have one of those bullet mufflers from jegs on my turbo car. I run it without a cat and there is no raspiness at all.

Hollowed cat will cause the raspiness sounds.

 

Do you have a resonator on your current setup? If not, getting one welded in should help with the raspiness.
