in a 93 eg... while vacuming i noticed a black grease stain on the carpet, right below my clutch pedal. i looked up and there is some sort of grease or oil coming out where the clutch pedal comes in from the firewall. has this happened to anybody? does anybody know what i should do and what the problem is? thanks.

Time to replace the Master Cylinder!

 

i heard it's a common problem. seal inside the MC is dead.

i replaced mine recently. i hurt my back working on it. here's ONE advice from me:

DO NOT pump the MC after you got it out. there's still brake fluid inside of it. the brake fluid shot into my eye and it hurts like hell after i flush my eye out for 20 minutes.

Yes it is!

Parts are easy to find. I know where there is a 1960 restored going for 7500 OBO with a 1275 in it!!
