Hey guys, my car every so often, while driving will start losing power, then just jump back to normal again. I thought it was my clutch, but i just got my clutch changed and it is still the same. The guy i took my car to, to change my clutch said it might be a fuel problem and i should change my fuel filter. Anyone have same problem?
Hey man I saw your posting when you say your car is loosing power what do you mean? when a fuel filter goes bad.. There are only two ways by knowing one is to take off the fuel filter and try blowing through it.. Two the car will want to bogg sometimes on you.. whitch means the car will loose power when you are trying to drive like a person trying to get air but just can't these are some things you can check I been through it a million times.. but a clutch you will really know on a clutch the car will slip in gears and at high revs you will notice when you drive the car for a while the car will require more gas than clutch.. try them let me know...
i have the same problem..
ill be driving at 65mph then it will bog or seem as if the car was shut off even though its still running. the clutch is not slipping and when the jerking is taking place my rpm do not drop. when i push in the clutch my engine revs just fine but not under load!
please help. im guessing injectors or fuel filter. my car is a stock, ef dual point.

I have the same problem but I've replaced my fuel filter and it's still the same. If I'm at a complete red light, sometimes when I put it in 1st and try to gas it, it would seem like it's dying when I'm gasing it then it would be normal again. Only does it sometimes, kind of weird. I replaced everything on the engine already, I mean EVERYTHING. Only thing could be the fuel pump. I haven't fix mines yet, waiting for the right time.
if you dont know the last time your fuel filter was changed, and your car has more than 30k miles on it, then change your filter.. its routine stuff and its like 15 bucks for a filter.
