Manual Tranny Question
I got a 90 accord lx 2.2. I just got it and it has alot of miles on the stock, manual transmission. I wanted to change the fluid to keep it going, but i dont know what to change it with. Some people are telling me that they use regular 10w-30 motor oil in it and others say to use special manual transmission fluid. I need some help on this one.....thanks guys

manual trans fluids made to break down around 30000 miles compared to motor oils 3000K either will work , depends on how often you wanna change it;-)
I would think the tranny and engine have a lot of different conditions on the oil and the tranny isn't as harsh. I would certainly think engine oil in a tranny would last longer.
You still should go with the MTF by Honda though.

Yep at one time Honda used 10w30 or 5w30 in the manual trans.
Then they came out with their own special blend of 'herbs and spices'; they named it Honda Manual Trans Fluid, and now that is the recommended Juice for the trans.
