Default Civic CX Steering Wheel Adjustable?

I have a 92 Civic Hatch CX. My steering wheel does not have the mechanism to adjust the height of the steering wheel. Is there any way to lower/higher the steering wheel manually? If not is their any other option to adjusting the steering wheel? Thanks!

Edit: Anyone know if an ITR steering wheel column will fit an EG???

If your civic doesn't come with that feature I don't know of another way to adjust the sterring wheel.

You may can go to you local junkyard and find a EG Civic SI and swap the parts you need on to your car.

About 30 minutes worth of work while enjoying a nice cold beer.

1. Take off airbag
2. Take off steering wheel.
3. Take off column cover.
4. Unbolt column from knuckle (down by the pedals)
5. Unbolt the bracket that holds the column up (two bolts, d-bracket)
6. Swap everything onto new column (switches, harnesses, etc).

Now reverse it.

yes it will fit.

Practically anything between 92-95 civics and 94-01 integras will swap directly.

If you don't want to bother with all that, you could lower it by adding shims between the firewall bracket and the column mount w/ longer bolts. You won't be able to raise it back up though without removing the shims, so make sure you can still get in & out of the car easily...

mine doesn't have one either. but it don't bother me none. i just got used to it. and i'll probly keep it that way. only reason i'd swap is if i got a "racing style" steering wheel. but i'm not into those. so i'll just keep my stock wheel and stock non adjustable column.

good luck on the column swap
