EP3 Shifter Conversion... has anyone tried this?
A while back i came across this image:

http://www.hondatuningmagazine...w.jpg
and i was wondering, has anyone else tried this? or does anyone make a conversion kit for this? I thought i had researched this before and found out that this was a prototype conversion that hasport manufactured for honda tuning, but i am not 100% sure. I thought it was pretty neat, and it'd be pretty cool if done right.
Just wondering if anyone else had seen this, or if anyone else has tried it?
edit: and i DID search
, searched "EP3 shifter", "hasport shifter" "ep3 conversion" and found nothing.

maybe, but have you ever driven an EP3? the shifter position is amazing.
i am not looking for this for my car, i have a circuit///hero shift extender which places the **** in the perfect position anyway, i was just curious to know if anyone else had seen this, or even done it.

actually, it's pretty nuts dude. the circuit hero extender + k20 shifter = high as hell. it's directly right of the wheel, the height couldn't be any more perfect
i told gil i was going to put up some pics in the thread, i'll do so as soon as i get around to going outside and snapping one, it's cold!

Awesome. Still waiting for Gil to finish up more shift extenders.

If I remember correctly, this was a H-T members car. He got tired of all the constant bullshit this forum puts out and left, that and people continuously ragged on him for his shifter and overlooking the fact that he put a K20 in his CRX.

so ep shifter+k swap= shifter conversion why do people have to be so dumb</TD></TR></TABLE>
?????
i am considering asking you that very question.
i wasn't asking WHY it was done, i was wondering IF anyone else had done this, if hasport had released a kit, and if someone had done it: how did they do it?

Agreed. You'll think they're ***** until you've tried shifting with one. They don't look the best, but damn they got the ergonomics right when they made them.

bumping this old thread to clear anything up. i am doing this today, it is a cheaper alternative to the rsx-s shifter boxes thathave inflated, not to mention i did not want to cut a 1 foot by 8 inch hole in my chassis for an overpriced aluminum plate to be glued and bolted down (with 4 bolts) to my chassis (karcepts kit = $180 when i first started this now its 150? i bought it used and decided against using it, its a great kit but no thanks on the hole). ruins resale imho.
i got the shifter for $30, **** for $20 no boot
and the honda optional audio consle for $120.
which i had already reuardless of the k swap. make your own bracket, holes need to be drilled in the firewall.. i LOVE the shifter position. it doesn't have a nasty ghetto rigged extender, the pic that made me do it was a race car actually. at eibach it had this, an s2k start button aluminum dash etc. looked sick and it was functional
