I just got my motor rebuilt and when i got it back i didnt notice this at the time but the vin on the engine block was either painted over or something happened to it, i did get it hot tanked. oculd that have anything to do with it??? im actually at school right now so i dont have any pictures, but i just want to make sure nothing fishy is going on. Thanks

 

The VIN number on the lower portion of the block in front of the oil pan is riveted on... It took some effort to take it off, if it did come off.

The actuall plate is still there you just read anything, i dont know if it got painted over??? i dont know ill have to look when i get home on saturday to finish putting it in. yea ill be happy to post pictures when i get them.

 

I'm sure its still there, maybe the beadblasted it...

That or the acid dip took the blue off of the VIN tag

 

either or, i dont know but is this something that could be possible, or likely??? i really dont know any info is going to be helpful.

 

Go back first and make sure
