Have you taken it to the dealership yet? They have specfic parts(wool felt, EPT sealer) and certain locations that they pad in order to dampen or get rid of the noise. Some people have found that it fixes the problem while others have had to use alternative methods to rid the rattle
Searched and found a couple but this one seemed most pertinant

The problem I had with the rear deck was that the clips kept popping loose. When all the clips were in, it did not rattle or vibrate, but because of the pressure (tight fit), several of the clips would pop after driving a while. I used a cheap fix. I used double stick tape between the deck and body to add some grip for the clips. So far, this has worked pretty good. I use to have to re-clip the deck every week. Since I stuck a little double stick on it, I have not had it come loose for 2 months.
i didn't take it to the dealer because they'll take one look at it, see 2 - 12" subs and a 1000W amp in the trunk and say "well there's your problem" so i'm not even gonna bother. even though it rattles at low volume as well as high.
i've temporarily have a folded up small piece of cardboard ontop of my hi-mount brake light compressed up against the back window. that's why i need to get it fixed.
thanks for the link...i'll try some double sided tape, any other solutions??

im right there with ya man.
heres what im doing, theres a DIY on 8thcivic.com about how to pop up the rear deck (couple white clips, just pop em up)
i got some scotch indoor/outdoor mounting tape (its like a red/silver ish looking tape, home depot has it was like... 2 dollars.
any ways, so pop up the rear deck, turn the volume on low and find out wtf is rattling, then just tape it up and hopefully that should take care of it.

Understandable but there is a bulliten on it and even if you have a system they are obligated to perform the AHM reccomend fix.... either way it sounds like your best bet is following the DIY on 8thcivic or something similar
