Rad Fan Wont Stop running!!?!
Hey just wondering what you guys think the problem is;
My 1991 honda accord EXR has been having a slight issue as of late.
When the car is off no key in the ignition the rad fan will run turn off then start again.. and repeat this process until the battery dies.
For example; I am driving the car.. come home and park the car.. go inside and come out 1 hour later and the rad fan is mysteriously on.. I will wait around and watch the car.. then it will turn off.. then turn back on.. and it continusly does this until the battery runs down.. You can hear the relay clicking on and off.. so i dont think its the issue.. Also the car never overheats and operates perfectly otherwise.
Too remedy the problem for now I have installed an Elimintaor circuit on my battery on a key fob so I can disable the battery when I am no in the car.. but this is only a temp fix until I can figure out the actaul issue at hand..
Any advice? The car it totally stock with 0 mods at all.

check the fan switch, and the coolant temp switch. Something is telling the fan that the engine is hot and its staying on. The fan relay may also be the problem, but I doubt that since you say that its coming on and off, which leads me to believe that its more in the switch.
when you 'catch it in the act' unplug the sensor that is in line of the top radiator hose. if the fan shuts off when you unplug that sensor replace it.

Well then they can repost and I'll go look for schematics, figure another easy test or buy some more webspace to upload the info.
Does the OP have a test light or multi meter?
do ya honestly think I have every system from 79 to 07 memorized?
I've got one hell of a headache right now from the 'flashbacks ' I had working on an 83 carb problem today. LOL
