11 Second Street Legal Honda??
I am a fellow Honda owner that works with a very doubtful WRX owner. He does not believe that 279whp in a EG civic can produce an 11 second quarter mile. Although the catch is, a local K series EG owner has done it, but he wants to see a time slip. He thinks that atleast 450hp is needed to run 11's. I have tried to explain that K20 + EG= BAD BEAST but he does not believe. Please someone enlighten this poor subie owner and post pictures and slips. Thanks
kazino42 (local to me) went 12.0x in a full interior full weight daily driven k swapped eg, he dyno'd at 216whp just the other day.
i went 11.98 on a boosted d-series with about 350whp in a daily driven full weight 4dr eg...then went 11.43 with about 440whp.
so in a sense your buddy is sorta close, if he is talking about boosted cars....but all motor i would say anything over 230 will get you 11's.

Yes, i am, i'm trying to figure out why people think it takes less hp N/A to go fast than it does turbo. My dyno doesn't have a setting for turbo hp or n/a hp, so i'm trying to figure out how the tires know.

The great debate of N/A vs. F/I. continues. I'm by far one of the least knowledgeable in terms of mechanical inclination but horsepower is horsepower. My humble opinion revolves around useability of the powerband. Example, If I compared an all motor 2.4l K series versus a B16 with a 42R (on very low boost as an example) that produced similiar horsepower figures, I would wager the K20 would prevail because the B16 would be excessively laggy. On the other hand, proper selection of equipment may muster different results like a 85mm with a SC34 may produce 300whp accompanied by 280+ft lbs. I assume what most folks conclude is that N/A typically has a broader powerband plus it generally is more forgiving for a novice driver. .02 cents, nothing more..
It's been said before but NA guys seem to care more about gearing and traction. Most of these cars are hardcore 1700lbs race cars and most of the turbo cars are also street driven that weigh 2500lbs.

What kind of 60's are typical for an n/a car and a turbo car?

I am just going to post some #'s that I have ran in the past :
11.72@121 mph (275 hp turbo sohc) Eg hatch around 2100 lbs
11.82@113 mph (207 hp all-motor B) CRX weighed 1731 w/ me in it
11.90@118 mph (299 hp B- series turbo) 10 psi in a coupe (roughly 2,100 - 2,200 lbs ) <-- first pass ever in the car and a bad one too.

c'mon, you know the rules.. you're not supposed to post the weight of the car until someone asks.

Hahaha.
How'd that guy go 11.72 with 275 whp and 11.8 with only 208? I don't get it.
