Default Shaving License Plate Holes

I dont think i've seen any EGs like this so far, anyone know of any? Heres mine, its not perfect, but i havent applied body filler yet. The first attempt with glass was a FAIL, and it was a bitch to get off let me tell you. Second time was a charm, dry in 30min. I let it dry over night just to be sure, sanded down this morning, now primed to show imperfections, when it dries, gonna sand down and apply body filler, re-prime, and continue till perfect, then bam, no license holes.

haha i know. i didn't mean there wasnt any, just hadn't seen any (till now), i dunno why more people dont, like the nicely done jdm show cars, like the guys who shave wipers, squirter holes, antenna, etc, but not bumper holes.

Same in WI, but I live in TX with WI registration and plates (since i'm a legal resident of WI) and I get away with telling em that WI doesn't have front plates.

On a side note, did you cut the holes for those side markers yourself, or buy them like that? My car is in the process of being de-riced from the previous owner, and I need to replace the Z3 fenders (YUCK), I was looking at the Password:JDM fenders since they are cheaper w/ lights and harness than 1 OEM fender from the dealer.

Hopefully that trick works out for a while.

Looks pretty badass . . . how hard was it to glass? I've never used fiberglass but I really want to learn.

It was my first time using fiberglass, so it was kinda hard, but once I got it figured out it was straight. Just getting the resin/hardener ratio right was the hard part, I had to redo it the first time because I didn't have enough hardener, and it didnt dry after 8+ hours, whereas its supposed to dry in 90min. The second time it was dry in 30min, and just took FOREVER to sand. Fiberglass is harrrrrd. You can also (didn't know this when I started) use a rubber repair kit or something like that, make for fixing bumpers, like an epoxy, thats supposed to work "better". If this doesnt turn out ill do that

How did you do yours 777sC and jaretron3030?

i did it the proper plastic way ... used some 3m products back when i was repainting my front end during my passing project in auto-body school
smoothed it out with the proper plactic adhesive fillers etc .. and it never cracked and turned out perfect .. until the day i sold the bumper to someone in seattle ..
had no problems with it for about 14 or so months .. then i parted out the car and the bumper was sold to someone else .. and as far as i know its still on the other guys car driving it around with no problems ..

go to an auto-body store .. they should be able to tell you the exact good things to use .. its pricy .. but its always best to do it right the first time around
