zc tranny or 88 crx si tranny on my d16y8?
so i was originally going to build a zc for my crx turbo buildup so i ordered a zc transmission. but decided to go witha y8 vtec motor build up which is currently at the machine shop. my question is will my 88 crx si tranny work with this motor. i already searched and searched but im getting some results saying it wont work at all and some saying it will. if it wont why wont it? will it not work even with the ACT clutch upgrade?
i do have the zc tranny but cant find a extension shaft and also the block doesnt have the holes to bolt the shaft up. i could get it tapped to be able to bolt up. but still have the problem of finding a shaft.
any ideas? thanks in advance

A D-series Transmission is a D-series transmission.* As long as you have the right clutch for the input shaft you'll be set. You could find the appropriate half-shaft from the various importers.
* The following statement applies only to 88-00, no other odd examples are allowed.
