A/C and Heater Knob is STUCK

A/C and Heater **** is STUCK
having trouble controlling the ac temp so i took off the plastic **** and found that the piece of metal sticking out (in the pic) will barely budge and appears stuck...what should i do?

It's a common problem, only way to fix it is to replace the cable.

the pic shows the insert from the **** is still stuck on the shaft. FYI
You can go dash dive under the passengerside and pop off the little cover to see the linkage the cable goes to. Then unhook it to see for sure if the cable is the problem or something else the linkage controls.
